Master in Finance & Banking, 2006-2007
During my internship in the department of Capital Structuring & Asset Finance within Santander Investment, I had the chance to gain an in-depth understanding of how complex capital structures are being formed for the financing of companies, positioned in strategic sectors of the Spanish economy.
This is an amazing experience for me, since my active day to day engagement in meetings with senior analysts, associates and VPs, reporting my findings, has made me feel an active and valuable member of the team. |

Master in Finance & Banking, 2006-2007
Prior to coming to Spain, I did not even know Santander and the Group´s importance in the global markets.
In the first month of internship, I was exposed on the global relationship management model of Santander´s wholesale banking which includes understanding of all different off the shelf products as well as customised products. I was also preparing the monthly reports and pitch books as well as providing research and due diligence reports to the global offices around Europe.
Despite the long working hours, I am really enjoying this internship especially because I am working with a good team. |

Master in Finance & Banking, 2006-2007
I have the opportunity to do my internship in the Portfolio Management department of Santander Private Banking in Geneva. I am assigned two projects to work on, one very theoretical and one very technical and analytical which allows me to learn a lot on Bloomberg and Portfolio Management new theories.
Besides, I have the chance to work in a friendly environment, the team is really supportive, the managers are receptive to new ideas and I have a full responsibility on my projects.
Even if I already know that I do not want to pursue my career in the private banking sector, I guess this will be at the end a fruitful experience: new skills, extra points in my CV, a better understanding of the world current situation, and spending three months in a major European financial centre, world reference in private banking. |

| Master in Finance & Banking, 2007-2008
I took a year off from my job in management consulting to complete a CIFF finance degree in order to expand my skill set, live in the vibrant city of Madrid, and further extend my professional network internationally.
The strongest component of the master were the professors, many who are private practitioners and award-winning authors recognized in mainstream media and in academic circles throughout Spain and abroad. They followed a pragmatic, “hands on” approach which was delivered successfully.
I think CIFF helps build a good blend of “hard” and “soft” skills sought after by employers. We worked equally hard on financial models, equity analysis, and trading as we did on understanding what business strategies are working today and why. The program was well rounded and touched on all major components of the financial services industry in developed and emerging markets. Completing this degree was a vital step in my career as I now tackle business problems from a broader perspective, speak a third language, and have built strong relationships with talented people from Africa, continental Europe, and Latin America. I currently work for Accenture Management Consulting based in Paris, France. |

Master in Finance & Banking, 2007-2008
After finishing my degree in Business Administration I wanted to complete my studies, specializing in finance.
CIFF's Master's in Finance and Banking was in every sense what I wanted. The fact that Banco Santander and the University of Alcalá de Henares were the sponsors gave me the assurance I needed regarding the quality of the Master's.
During this year I have improved my knowledge of the financial world, thanks to the highly qualified professionals from several companies. This knowledge has allowed me the opportunity to put it all into practice in my job at Banco Santander.
The Master's course is taught in English, and an extra benefit of practising my English has been how personally enriching it has been to mix with students and professionals from many different cultures. |

Master in Finance & Banking, 2007-2008
I was working at ExxonMobil by the time I decided to do the Master in Finance & Banking at CIFF. I was looking for a complete change in my career path, trying to move into the Capital Markets. I didn’t have any experience in the Banking sector, so I needed a drastic solution for such a drastic change.
I was looking for a program offering the possibility to submerge me into this new world; that enables me to start working in this industry from the 1st day after my graduation. CIFF’s program resulted to be ideal.
Its pragmatic view, in conjunction with the solid theoretical background of its professors, was key elements in order to smoothly get into any financial institution. Moreover, its International orientation perfectly replicated today’s working situations, providing its graduates with an invaluable competitive advantage.
All these, backed by two top Institutions like Grupo Santander and Universidad Alcalá de Henares. It was just a perfect deal." |

Master in Finance & Banking, 2008-2009
I have always liked Finance, especially the Financial Markets. Thanks to this Masters programme I now have the necessary knowledge to work in these areas. The top-rate Professors combined with the international focus of this programme have given me a global vision that I lacked before. I am now working for Santander when I am using the knowledge gained on the Masters on a day-to-day basis.
